The space

Nestled between the Luberon mountains and the Durance Valley, Domaine Arterra lies at the heart of a private 5-hectare park made up of lavender, vineyards, olive trees, and wild woodland. This stone manor house embodies authentic Provence: vaulted volumes, noble materials, contemporary artworks, and unobstructed views over the countryside. Designed for gathering with family or friends, it offers five en-suite suites, spacious living areas, and many relaxation spaces, both indoors and outdoors.

🍽️ Bathed in light, the contemporary, welcoming kitchen is the true heart of the house, where white vaults, light oak flooring, and bespoke furniture combining wood and metal come together. Fully equipped with a central island, generous worktops, and refined tableware, it will appeal as much to a private chef as to an epicurean family. The large solid-wood table hosts breakfasts facing the garden as well as long dinners, in a friendly atmosphere where you can share both a bottle from the estate and a gourmet meal.

🛋️ Beneath immaculate vaults, the main living room embodies the soul of the bastide: warm, refined, and full of character. Around the monumental fireplace, the terracotta curved sofa, bouclé wool seating, and wooden coffee tables create an ideal cocooning corner to gather at the end of the day. The staged firewood, the large 19th-century horse, and the signed artworks add a unique touch, somewhere between a collector’s home and a Provençal refuge.
The TV lounge extends this area with a large bespoke library connecting the relaxation spaces. A flat-screen TV, art objects, and carefully selected books set the scene for the perfect spot for a movie night, an aperitif with friends, or simply leafing through a book.

Between the kitchen and the spacious living room, an intimate dining room welcomes shared moments around the table, in a soft and friendly atmosphere.

🎱 Flooded with light thanks to the large picture window opening onto the gardens, this room invites conviviality and togetherness. The fireplace, porcelain pendant lights, and club armchairs wrap you in a soft, elegant atmosphere ideal for ending the evening with a game of billiards while enjoying a view of Sainte-Victoire.

🛏️ The house features five en-suite suites with private bathrooms and toilets, designed as true cocoons of comfort. Each bedroom has its own personality, while sharing the same common thread: soft tones, high-end bed linen, natural materials, and carefully designed lighting. You can choose your viewpoint: one of the suites has a sublime terrace offering breathtaking views over the Luberon, while the others overlook the vineyards and the park.
The bathrooms, finished in stone, marble, and wood, offer walk-in showers, elegant basins, and generous storage. Throughout, you’ll find that typically Provençal discreet luxury: plenty of space, light, and beautiful materials never ostentatious.

🏊🏻‍♀️ Around the bastide, Provence makes a refined entrance. The courtyard, enlivened by a fountain, leads to a beautiful pool surrounded by lawn and stone terraces, with views over the vineyards and distant hills. Here you can alternate between laps, naps on the sun loungers, and aperitifs facing the sunset.
Several outdoor spaces shape the day: a pebble terrace for breakfast, a shaded terrace under centuries-old trees for lunch, and a lounge area by the pool for summer evenings.
The landscaped park, dotted with flowerbeds, lavender, olive trees, and paths, invites you to stroll, read in peace, or simply enjoy the scenery.

🎾 🎯 Ideal for a morning match or at the end of the day, a private tennis court awaits sports enthusiasts to the north of the bastide. A pétanque court lets you extend afternoons with family or friends over a friendly game, a glass of Luberon rosé in hand. A fitness room accessible within a few minutes completes the offering for those who wish to keep up their sports routine during their stay.

🖼️ Each space in the house is enhanced by a selection of contemporary artworks: paintings, sculptures, and unique pieces interact with the architecture and the landscape.
Among the artists featured are Antonio Seguí, Philippe Pasqua, Robert Combas, Alain Jacquet, Paul Irike, and creations by Izirdi that pay tribute to Provence. Altogether, this gives La Grande Bastide a singular atmosphere, halfway between a family home and an intimate gallery.

To make your stay truly unique, various experiences can be organized on request: private yoga sessions or sports coaching in the park, in-home massages, artistic or culinary workshops (painting, pottery, photography, cooking, etc.), electric bike rental to explore nearby villages, a private chef for a gourmet dinner, or visits to wine estates and tastings. The house is equally suited to a holiday stay, a retreat, team working time, or a small private celebration.

Acces

Located on the heights of the village of Lauris, just 3.1 km from the center, the estate enjoys a privileged setting. This exceptional place offers remarkable comfort and an idyllic environment, perfect for the gentle Provençal way of life. Fully immersed in preserved nature, it benefits from absolute peace and a direct, unobstructed view of Sainte-Victoire.

🚘 At Domaine Arterra, we offer on request and as an optional extra the rental of a 2CV, electric bikes, and trial motorcycles, to enjoy unique moments through a variety of activities accessible to all.

🧹 The stay includes the daily presence of a housekeeper every morning for 4 hours, who also prepares your breakfast to start the day well.

Other things to note

✅ For your comfort, household linen is provided: sheets, pillowcases, towels, and a kitchen towel.

🛏️ By default, for two guests, only one double bed is made up. If you would like a second bed to be made up as well, please select the “Additional linen” option (€25, laundry fee).

☕️ To get your stay off to a good start, we offer a few welcome items: coffee pods, tea bags, shower gel, shampoo, and basic kitchen essentials.

📝 To best prepare your arrival, please fill in the online check-in form as soon as you book. It allows us to collect essential information: your contact details, the number of guests, the number of beds required, any comments you may have, your expected arrival time, as well as the data needed for invoicing and the mandatory police registration form for foreign travelers.
